Welcome to my 3rd Blog Post, I was quite nervous about getting this all set up and running as its been a vision for a while, and when it's actually so close to being posted live, it is hard to press that publish button because then it is finally out there!
On a positive note I am so glad we have got to post number 3 already, and it's the perfect time to be organising summer wear, it has been absolutely boiling.
For the past 9 months before giving birth I have had a lot more to consider, for example what is going to A. Look good, B. be able to be worn whilst still heavily pregnant and C.be easily adaptable whilst breastfeeding, and of course to keep after too!
So, something that can be worn before, during and after giving birth?
Well, H&M doesn't ever disappoint, I found two beautiful Dresses from there which are completely different in their own way, yet so practical especially for me currently with two very young little ones (4 & 2 Year old) and the 3rd one on it's way.
First up is the Khaki Green Wide Maxi dress retailing at £39.99.
I am very hooked on button down front dresses at the moment, I also love the material and gathered look effect.
The material as you can see looks very cooling even with it being long-sleeved. Lastly, the gathered seam at the waist gives it a nicer shape rather than it being straight down baggy.
We have the Light Blue/Floral Crinkled Long Dress, retailing at £49.99.
Again, it has the buttons down the front.
What I love about this design is the choice of colours and how they blend with each other really well.
The long balloon sleeves are currently trending, as well as the flared skirt.
Please see images below:
Moving swiftly onto Zara...
I have chosen their long Red patchwork dress, retailing at £39.99.
This one has short sleeves instead and has more of an elastic detail.
We have the front button detail which can also be worn as a cardigan or dress, so is in fact 2 in 1, please see below:
My second choice is the Black Pleated Tunic dress, retailing at £25.99.
With it's full sleeves, round neckline and button fastening front.
This dress Can be dressed up with statement earrings and heels, or dressed down with a sun hat and flats, please see below:
From Mango I found a Off White Buttoned Dress, retailing at £29.99, this dress is a straight design, with movable fabric that flows and hangs right. It is completely sleeveless for those summer days, with a V-neck dip and a button fastening:
Lastly, from & Other Stories I have selected the Blue Stripe Oversized Shirt Dress, which retails at £69.00.
It has my favourite buttoned down front, with short sleeves with a side seam and pockets.
Can be worn as a dress or as a shirt.
So looking back to my checklist:
- Can these looks be worn during pregnancy? Yes.
- Can they all be worn as non maternity? Yes.
- Would they be practical for breastfeeding? Yes.
So these are some really great options and at an affordable high street price too.
Can't forget shoes..
First up we have the flat mules with pearl beads retailing at £39.99 from Zara
Pearls on the instep and pointed toes, lovely pair of shoes that can be formal or casual because of the style and detail:
Also from Zara, I found these Sky Blue Mules with fringed detail and a metal front really summery pale colour, retailing at £29.99:
Two more shoes from Zara -
Flat Mules with Dotted mesh detail retailing at £25.99
With Dotted mesh detail on the the upper section of the mule, with bows at top of instep:
Lastly, from Zara we have the Ecru braided mules, retailing at £29.99
Which out of the the 3 I've already included, these are the most natural- coloured, but still with a gorgeous pointed toe:
Last but not least...
Mango Satin Knot Mule in the colour Mustard, retailing at £49.99.
How gorgeous is this colour? Lovely pointed toe, decorative knot and rubber sole:
An outfit is not complete without a bag...
How practical is this Jamie Black Python, retailing at £140.00.
Classic backpack design, in Jem + Bea's new range for parents unisex option on the go and easy to strap onto buggy's, on the side of the bag it even has a hidden Thermo-insulated pocket, with water repellent and wipe clean lining :
The next bag is a different type of bag, it is a basket bag and is called the bamboo half moon bag in the colour natural.
It is a very "Boho" look. It retails at £45.00:
Why not try our string bags that come in several different colours:
They can even be matched to these Iolla Somerville sun lenses in colour taupe crystal with bronze prescription lense, especially with the pink!
Which retail at £65.00, with a full UV& Scratch resistant coating:
Prescription sunglasses; (I’m blind with a -7 prescription)
Well that brings us to the end of our first Fashion Based Post, for lots of inspiration for Summer, I once again hope you enjoyed it and continue to look forward to the next post.
